Our servers operate from a private datacentre floor located in the London Docklands. Our facility boasts true enterprise hosting specification with redundancy at every level of its architecture. Some of our key features are listed below;

Power

  • Fully Redundant Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System.
  • During utility power outages the datacentre will run uninterrupted from UPS.
  • Fully Redundant Backup generators.
  • For extended utility power outages, on-site diesel generator can run indefinitely.
  • Power feeds are conditioned for surge suppression.
  • Multiple utility power drops ensure no single point of failure.

Environmental Control

  • Multiple air conditioning systems (full N+1 redundancy).
  • Multiple 35KW downflow units with ~ 10MW of chiller capacity.
  • Around the clock environmental monitoring ensures constant temperature of 22C.
  • Raised flooring for under floor cooling and maintaining separate power and data cabling.

Fire Protection

  • VESDA early warning fire detection.
  • FM200 gas suppression (waterless fire protection).

Connectivity

  • Juniper core routing equipment with HP switching equipment.
  • Multiple fibre entry points to building ensuring redundancy in case of external cable cut.
  • Additional network POPs maintained in 3 other London datacentre facilities.
  • Dual network cable drops to all racks ensuring no single point of failure.
  • Undersold network at only 50% capacity.

Off-site Backups

  • We utilise the latest in Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology.
  • FOUR times daily remote backups of all servers are maintained for 2 weeks.
  • Backups stored off-site in a secure remote location in London.
  • Disaster recovery is possible in minutes not the traditional hours or days.

Security

  • Proximity access card system on ALL doors in the facility.
  • Each server cabinet has separate locked door (we don’t use open racks).
  • All areas of the facility are monitored 24/7 via CCTV as well as human security patrols.
  • Physical access is limited to data centre personal without exception.
  • All employees undergo strict background security checks before being employed.
  • 24/7 dedicated security guards.

24/7 Onsite Staffing

  • Experienced technicians remain onsite 24/7 monitoring our network and servers.
  • Main office is across the hall from data centre floor for fast access.
  • No waiting for an engineer to be "called out" to a problem.
